You are invited to our first pre-program offering in advance of the launch of our new Anti-Racist, Anti-Oppressive Practice Expressive Arts Certificate spring 2022.

We are excited to be initiating an online artspace Wednesday evenings, starting this week, on June 30th, at 6 PM CDT.

heARTSpace Studio is a weekly, drop-in expressive arts gathering to honour the heARTS response to intersectional issues that matter.

In the wake of the heart wrenching news of the remains of the 215 children found at the site of what was the Kamloops Residential School, we reach out to you, our community, to stand in solidarity with Indigenous peoples across Turtle Island, as we grieve for these children and their families and ancestors.

As a means of self-expression and emotional release that combines with tradition and storytelling, nearly every culture in the world embraces dance in some form or fashion. Not only does it have physical benefits worth celebrating, but it's good for the cognitive and emotional self as well.

When I was a child, my grandmother collected calendars of Inuit art. The images were eye catching to me given their often stark, curved lines and minimalist presentation: quite different from the images I was accustomed to seeing my grandmother paint, which included primarily naturalistic prairie scenes and portraits.

In art and expressive arts therapy training, we bring special attention to time and space for growth through relationships, discovering and living our life purpose, having a positive influence on social change, and expressing ourselves artistically and creatively.

We are excited to launch our new Online Wellness Centre which provides online groups, individual art therapy, and expressive arts sessions for healing and wellness. Student therapists are available to help you amplify your creativity and self-awareness, build self-esteem, relax, and come into the present moment through the arts.
