Overview

Our programs help students develop the skills, knowledge, and perspectives necessary to succeed as arts therapists and practitioners through arts-based learning, creating, reflecting, and connecting to support personal and social transformation. We are engaged in a decolonizing journey through awareness and action on the impact of systems on identity: culture, race, gender, sexual orientation and abilities. We use arts therapy education as a lever of social change towards liberation, equity and sustainability.

Our programs are built on the foundations of kindness, gentleness, open-mindedness, and love, in the service of building understanding, equity, and peace on our globally inter-connected planet. Solution-oriented in essence, we integrate elements of psychology, phenomenology, counselling, somatic awareness, and Indigenous worldviews to offer playful, dynamic, and informed programs that support the nourishment of the imagination and strengthening of individual voices. We strive to create ideal growing conditions by gathering creative, intelligent, and inspiring faculty who support and honour the deepest essence of each individual, whether colleague, student or client.
