IEATA 2017

The sound of the drum calls and leads: Heartbeat of Mother Earth and a universal communication tool. Join us in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, as we honor this call to explore the Indigenous Roots of Expressive Arts: Transformation, Social Justice and Social Change. Pre-Conference days will feature outings to explore local Indigenous cultures, history and teachings on the land, as well as relevant workshops by world leaders in Expressive Arts Therapy. The conference itself will feature locally and nationally acclaimed Indigenous and non-Indigenous leaders working to create social change and enhance understanding through the lens of the arts. Join us in the heart of the continent, October 4 - 8, 2017, on Treaty 1 Territory, the traditional lands of the Cree, Anishnaabe, and Dakota peoples and homeland of the Metis.

We invite submissions across several areas related to Transformation, Social Justice and Social Change. For submission guidelines and themes, head to the official IEATA 2017 website.
